Pic: a beach in Sicily
In the years before the internet and mobile phones, two young people meet at college.
At the end of their course, they take advantage of a job offer and travel to Sicily to work for a year. All is new, exciting and good, until the incident. They're separated from one another, torn apart.
They travel across Italy looking for each other, looking for answers, working in odd jobs and surviving as best they can. Their travels change them in ways they could not have foreseen.
Time drifts by. They return to England to pick up the threads of their lives, hoping they'll find each other, needing to start again.
Sicily Amore is the story of the bond that grew between them: a bond strong enough to overcome adversity, strong enough to endure over time and circumstance.
A bond that nothing could break.
La Strada. "We sat by the roadside, among the tall grasses."

This book will soon be available on Amazon and other outlets.
Note: What Happened in Sicily grew over time. It began with a short story called The Letter, included in the collection Lakara's Warehouse. There were time gaps over the course of the narrative, as the original story was compressed. I wrote more stories to explore what the characters were doing in those missing years, and the narrative became a novel composed of 30 linked stories. Even now, there's more to tell.
